Champions Crowned at Flamboro Speedway in Winning Fashion

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- Let the celebrations begin as the champions for the 2025 race season have been crowned for Flamboro Speedway, with some of them doing it with another trip to victory lane.
Ricky Willigar took the lead with nine laps to go to win the first Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified feature ahead of TJ Marshall, Mike Podd, Jordan Ramsbottom, and Ty Riopelle. Scott Tonelli battled his way forward for sixth in front of Cam Thomson, Dave Evison Sr., Steve Murdoch, and Quinton Murdoch. Mike Klotz and Rodney Rutherford both failed to complete a lap.
TJ Marshall won the final feature of the season to cap off his Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified championship campaign in style ahead of Ricky Willigar, Ty Riopelle, Jordan Ramsbottom, and Scott Tonelli. Cam Thomson was sixth in front of Mike Podd, Dave Evison Sr., and Steve Murdoch.
Mike Thomson took the lead on Lap 2 of the first Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stock feature and did not look back en route to victory ahead of Matt Young, Kaitlyn Wallace, Chris Pendlebury, and Tyler Lewis. Bobby Mercer was sixth in front of Mark Thorne, Spencer Riddell, Rory Markle, and Mike Robinson III.
Matt Young capped off his championship season by winning the second feature ahead of Cam Thomson, Chris Pendlebury, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Tyler Lewis. Bobby Mercer was sixth once again in front of Michael Robinson III, Mark Thorne, Rory Markle, and Spencer Riddell.
Chase Mitchell rebounded from a wreck a couple weeks ago to win the first Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties Pure Stocks feature ahead of Chance Rogers, John Cote, Mark Allan, and Spencer Riddell. Gary Slama battled his way from outside the top-10 for sixth in front of Megan Mitchell, Rick Mitchell, Rachel Mitchell, and Dylan Sharpe. Brandyn Milligan was 11th, followed by Craig Cole, Leo Labarbera, Dale Lucas, Teagan Ellis, Cam Thomson, Hailey Hill, and Zack James.
Cam Thomson won the final feature of the season by pacing all 25 laps ahead of Gary Slama, Dylan Sharpe, Rick Mitchell, and Spencer Riddell. Chase Mitchell was sixth after starting the event in the back half of the field in front of John Cote, Chance Rogers, Rachel Mitchell, and Hailey Hill. Leo Labarbera was 11th, followed by Mark Allan, Megan Mitchell, Teagan Ellis, Dale Lucas, Zack James, Craig Cole, and Brandyn Milligan.
Congratulations to John Cote on being crowned the 2025 Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties Pure Stock Champion.
Cliff Hodgkinson led all 12 laps to the win the Southern Ontario Modified Association heat ahead of Mark Lucas, Jesse Gibson, Shannon Morris, and Robert Mercer.
Riley Mercer won the second qualifier in front of Ken Mercer, Vic Devries, Michael Baker, John Held, and Brad Maitland, while Robert Mercer did not complete any laps.
Robert Mercer led all 20 laps en route to winning the feature ahead of Mark Lucas, Cliff Hodgkinson, Shannon Morris, and Vic Devries. Brad Maitland was sixth in front of Michael Baker, John Held, Jesse Gibson, Riley Mercer, and Ken Mercer.
The regular season may be done, but that does not mean the racing is over yet at Flamboro Speedway with a couple weeks of racing still remaining on the schedule.
This Saturday, October 4 will kick off Frostoberfest weekend with crowning the 2025 Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Champion. The event also includes the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds, OSCAAR Hot Rods, Great Lakes Legend Series, Outlaw Midgets presented by Glenn Styres Racing, and Mini Trucks.
The event on Sunday, October 5 will feature the Grisdale Triple Crown with a trio of 50-lap features for the Late Models. The event also includes invitationals for the Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Super Stocks.
Of note, the entire weekend is sponsored by Grisdale Racing Products and London Recreational Racing.
