Flamboro Speedway Ready to Offer $50,000 Payday for Racers

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- For the past 50 years, the Casale Family has worked hard at giving the racers an opportunity of somewhere to hang out, have fun, and oh yeah, put on some good racing together. It’s why entering the 2022 season, they’re set to celebrate the year in style.

One of the biggest announcements is the reveal of the Pot of Gold 300, set to take place on Sunday, September 4 on Labour Day weekend. No matter the amount of cars in the field, the winner will be taking home $50,000 when the event is over. Second place will be paid $10,000, with $5,000 for third, $3,000 for fourth, and $2,000 for fifth.

The track has a history of putting on thrilling Enduros, as evident with the year-end Halloween Enduro each season. We’ve become used to everyone having fun and getting together to the end year off with excitement and entertainment, so why not do that a little earlier in the year?

The event will be an Enduro, consisting of 300 laps broken into two parts. The first 250 laps will be run, with the top 50 transferring to the final 50 laps to battle it out for the money.

Prior to the final run to the checkered flag, drivers and teams will be allowed to work on their car for a maximum of 15 minutes. Repairs and tires can be changed – within the rules of course, with fuel allowed to be added. You will then be lined up for the final 50 via their finishing order from the first 250, with everyone scored back on the lead lap.

For those wanting to get on the ball early, pre-registration is already open and being accepted. It costs you $500 to register, but that includes driver, plus nine crew, and a transponder. Notably after July 31, your registration will only cover driver and one crew, with transponder being extra. Registration, along with your crew list, can be sent to info.flamborospeedway@gmail.com.

The full rule book for the event is added below for your viewing pleasure.

With a history of must-see races at Flamboro Speedway, this date should be on the must-attend list for any race fan. There will also be plenty of other big events on the 2022 schedule, which will be released by track officials closer to the race season.

The full schedule once released, along with any other information you may inquire about, can be found on the track’s website at http://www.flamborospeedway.ca.
