Kyle Steckly Dominates APC Series London Recreational Racing 100 at Flamboro

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- Returning back to where it all began, Kyle Steckly proved he can still get around the 0.333 mi semi-banked oval, as evident by a dominating performance in the APC United Late Model Series' London Recreational Racing 100 at Flamboro Speedway.

After time trialing in second-quickest with a lap of 15.187 seconds, Steckly kept himself within striking distance of the leader through the initial laps. He made his move at Lap 32, leading the rest of the way en route to picking up the checkered flag.

Jake Sheridan, who was quickest in qualifying with a lap of 15.187 seconds, ran inside the top-four all race long en route to a runner-up performance. Connor Pritiko backed up his victory at Delaware Speedway last month with a third ahead of Josh Stade and Dale Shaw.

Cory McAllister's rookie campaign with the tour continued with an 11th, followed by Glenn Styres, Kendra Adams, Mike Bentley, Cory Luciano, and Tyler Di Venanzo.

He worked his way forward, moving into second on Lap 9, before taking the lead on Lap 21. He then led the rest of the way en route to the checkered flag.

Flamboro veteran Justin Collison was second ahead of Nic Ramsay and Hudson Nagy. Carson Nagy started off the day by laying down the quickest lap in time trials (16.498 seconds), but wound up fifth at the checkered flag in front of Shawn Chenoweth, Ryan Dyson, and Randy Kuykendall.

Dash for Cash winner from a few weeks ago Ty Riopelle battled his way forward for sixth in front of Doug Hood, Mike Podd, Scott Tonelli, and Ian McIntyre.

Cam Thomson's early season troubles are beginning to be forgotten about as evident by an 11th-place finish, followed by Ian Henwood, Dave Evison Sr., Steve Murdoch, Heath Penny, Samantha Trewolla, and Jordan Ramsbottom.

Ricky Willigar took the lead on Lap 13 to win the second feature ahead of TJ Marshall, Rodney Rutherford, Ty Riopelle, and Jae Pepin. Multi-feature winner Mike Podd led early, fading back for sixth in front of Cam Thomson, Scott Tonelli, Ian Henwood, and Samantha Trewolla.
