Lane Zardo and Carson Nagy Split Steel City Super Stock Rumble Series Victories

Running a pair of features for the Steel City Super Stock Rumble Series, Lane Zardo and Carson Nagy each took home a checkered flag on July 5.

Lane Zardo took the lead on Lap 17 to win the first 25-lap feature ahead of Justin Collison, Roy Wilkie, Carson Nagy, Nick Troback, Pete Vanderwyst Jr., Brendon Edgar, and Jerry Broom.

Carson Nagy found his way to the lead at halfway to win the second feature in front of Lane Zardo, Roy Wilkie, Justin Collison, Pete Vanderwyst Jr., Nick Troback, Jerry Broom, and Brendon Edgar.

Billy Schwartzenburg took the lead with six laps to go to win the first Grisdale Enterprises Pro Late Model feature ahead of Kyle Steckly, Mike Bentley, Kevin Albers. Cory McAllister and Kevin Gallant.

Kyle Steckly found his way to the lead with two laps to go for the checkered flag in the second feature in front of Billy Schwartzenburg, and Mike Bentley. Cory McAllister, Kevin Albers, and Kevin Gallant failed to finish. 

Darren Jones and Billy Zardo did not take the green flag in either of two features.

Mike Thomson took the lead with five laps to go, picking up the win in the first Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stock feature ahead of Matt Young, Tyler Lewis, Bobby Mercer, and Mac Ingram. Ryan Edwards-Kiss, Rory Markle, and Mark Thorne failed to finish, while Chris Pendlebury did not take the green flag.

Matt Young found his way to the lead on Lap 2, pacing the rest of the 25-lap feature en route to victory in front of Mike Thomson, Tyler Lewis, Bobby Mercer, and Ryan Edwards-Kiss. Mark Thorne, Rory Markle, and Mac Ingram failed to finish, while Chris Pendlebury did not take the green flag.

Taking the lead on Lap 8, Spencer Riddell led the rest of the way en route to winning the first Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature ahead of Hailey Hill, Chase Mitchell, Craig Cole, and Dan Storey. John Cote battled his way forward for sixth in front of Gary Slama, Jake Watson, Chance Rogers, and Leo Labarbera.

Jeremy Dungey worked his way through traffic for 11th, followed by Jeff Elsliger and Connor Ellis. Several drivers failed to finish including Owen Brooker, Teagan Ellis, Rick Mitchell, Mark Allan, Megan Mitchell, Rodney Rutherford, and Rachel Mitchell. Cam Thomson did not take the green flag.

John Cote took the lead on Lap 2, not looking back en route to winning the second feature ahead of Gary Slama, Dan Storey, Craig Cole, and Spencer Riddell. Rodney Rutherford worked his way into the top-10 for sixth in front of Chase Mitchell, Leo Labarbera, Chance Rogers, and Mark Allan.

Hailey Hill worked her way forward for 11th, followed by Jeff Elsliger, Rachel Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, Teagan Ellis, Owen Brooker, and Jeremy Dungey. Rick Mitchell failed to finish, while Jake Watson, Connor Ellis, and Cam Thomson did not take the green flag. 

The Ontario Pro Challenge Series were also on hand for a pair of features, with Tim Norris and Emma Norris crossing the finish line first in each of those, respectively. The full finishes have not been released by the series due to being under review.

This Saturday, July 12 at Flamboro Speedway will feature the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series of Ontario's London Recreational Racing 100, which will also be raising money for the Sick Kids Foundation in partnership with Cole Quinton Racing. The night also includes the Dayco Super Stock Series and the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds.
