Memorial Night Brings Excitement to Flamboro Speedway

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- On a night where stories were shared and people were remembered for their past contributions to Flamboro Speedway, the current stars put together a night of exciting racing for the fans in attendance.
Lane Zardo grabbed the pole for the Steel City Rumble Super Stock Series feature with a new track record of 16.192 seconds ahead of Shawn Chenoweth, Justin Collison, Roy Wilkie, Nick Troback, and Jerry Broom.
The invert worked out perfectly for Shawn Chenoweth , as he led flag-to-flag en route to securing the feature victory in front of Lane Zardo, Nick Troback, Roy Wilkie, Justin Collison, and Jerry Broom.
Tim Norris took the lead on Lap 6 to win the first Ontario Pro Challenge Series feature ahead of Ethan Fleet, Sterling Hattin, Emma Norris, and Travis Majuery. Taylor Weber was sixth in front of Mike Norris, Maddux Pepin, Colton Clark, and Jay Linde. Mike O'Connell and Tenli Pepin completed the field.
Tim Norris swept the night by winning the second feature ahead of Sterling Hattin, Mike Norris, Emma Norris, and Ethan Fleet. Jay Linde led the opening two laps, before placing sixth in front of Taylor Weber, Maddux Pepin, Colton Clark, and Travis Majuery. Mike O'Connell and Tenli Pepin completed the field.
Mike Norris was crowned the 2025 Ontario Pro Challenge Series Champion.
Billy Schwartzenburg took the lead at halfway to win the first Grisdale Racing Products Late Model feature ahead of Kevin Albers, Kevin Gallant, and Rick Burbridge.

Karl Sault took the lead on Lap 10 to win the first feature for the Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks ahead of Shawn Taylor, Matt Young, Ryan Edwards-Kiss, and Chris Pendlebury. Roland Goodfellow battled his way forward for sixth in front of Dan Pettit, Andrew Smith, Rory Markle, and Alex Stewart. Spencer Riddell, Tyler Lewis, and Bobby Mercer rounded out the field.
Shawn Taylor returned to victory lane in the second feature ahead of Karl Sault, Chris Pendlebury, Ryan Edwards-Kiss, and Roland Goodfellow. Dan Pettit led the opening lap, before fading back to sixth in front of Alex Stewart, Rory Markle, Andrew Smith, and Spencer Riddell. Tyler Lewis and Matt Young rounded out the field.
Craig Cole put himself out front with five laps to go win the first Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature ahead of Spencer Riddell, Chance Rogers, Cam Thomson, and Rick Mitchell. Rodney Rutherford battled his way forward for sixth in front of John Cote, Mark Allan, Rachel Mitchell, and Leo Labarbera. Brandyn Milligan's rookie campaign continued with an 11th, followed by Gary Triska, Teagan Ellis, Dan Storey, Mike Hall, Cody Wilds, Matt Young, David Rockwood, Elijah Hawrylyshyn, and Megan Mitchell. Gary Slama, Hailey Hill, and Chase Mitchell failed to finish after being taken out in a wreck on the frontstretch on Lap 2.
Matt Young took the lead on Lap 10 to win the second feature ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Dan Storey, David Rockwood, and John Cote. Gary Slama rebounded for a sixth in front of Cody Wilds, Cam Thomson, Brandyn Milligan, and Craig Cole. Gary Triska ran inside the top-10 for the first half, fading late for an 11th, followed by Mark Allan, Chance Rogers, Spencer Riddell, Leo Labarbera, Rachel Mitchell, Teagan Ellis, Elijah Hawrylyshyn, and Megan Mitchell. Rick Mitchell and Zack James completed the field.
The next event scheduled for Saturday, September 13 will feature the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds and Southern Ontario Modified Association (SOMA) Pro 4 Modifieds. The night also includes the Pro Late Models, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks.
