TJ Marshall and Jason Keen Victorious in Flamboro Speedway Season Opener

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- The 2025 season is off and running, with TJ Marshall and Jason Keen among the winners on opening night at Flamboro Speedway.
Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds
TJ Marshall showed why he’s a past Grindstone Canadian Vintage Modified Champion by winning the opening feature of the season ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Ricky Willigar, Jason Keen, and Jordan Ramsbottom. Madduz Pepin led the opening three laps before placing sixth in front of Jae Pepin, Ty Riopelle, Scott Tonelli, and Dave Evison Sr.Samantha Trewolla battled to 11th, followed by Doug Hood, Mike Podd, Cam Thomson, and Steve Murdoch.
2023 OSCAAR Modified Champion Jason Keen picked up the checkered flag in the second feature ahead of Ricky Willigar, Rodney Rutherford, TJ Marshall, and Ty Riopelle. Maddux Pepin was sixth once again in front of Scott Tonelli, Doug Hood, Dave Evison Sr., and Jae Pepin.
Samantha Trewolla was 11th, followed by Cam Thomson, Jordan Ramsbottom, Mike Podd, and Steve Murdoch.
Grisdale Enterprises Pro Late Models
2024 Grisdale Enterprises Pro Late Model Champion Billy Schwartzenburg began the season in style by winning the first feature ahead of Kevin Albers, Shawn Chenoweth, and Kevin Gallant.
Kevin Albers won the second feature in front of Billy Schwartzenburg, Shawn Chenoweth, and Kevin Gallant.
Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks
In the Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks, Matt Young started his title defense in style with a trip to victory lane in the first 25-lap feature ahead of Mike Thomson, Tyler Lewis, Chris Pendlebury, Alex Stewart, Bobby Mercer, and Kris Lawrence.
Past track champion Mike Thomson won the second feature in front of Matt Young, Tyler Lewis, Chris Pendlebury, Alex Stewart, Bobby Mercer, and Kris Lawrence.
Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks
In the Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks, Spencer Riddell ran inside the top-five for most of the 20 laps, taking the lead with two laps to go to win the first feature of the season. Craig Cole was second ahead of Chase Mitchell, Rick Mitchell, and John Cote. Leo Labarbera ran inside the top-10 for sixth in front of Chance Rogers, Phil Givens, Cam Thomson, and Mark Allan.
Austin Etsell was inside the top-10 for the first half, fading back to 11th, followed by Jake Watson, Reece Bourgeois, Rachel Mitchell, Hailey Hill, Mac Ingram, Megan Mitchell, Caroline Kelly, Teagan Ellis, and David Rockwood. Wayde Thorne pulled off at the halfway mark, credited with 21st, ahead of Mike Hall and Mike Etsell. Jordan Willms was disqualified post-race.
The second feature saw Craig Cole cross the finish line in second, but credited with the victory after the original winner was disqualified post-race. Cam Thomson drove Lisa Barton’s car to a runner-up in front of Chase Mitchell, Chance Rogers, and Mac Ingram. Wayde Thorne rebounded for sixth, followed by Rachel Mitchell, Spencer Riddell, Leo Laberbera, and Jake Watson.
Hailey Hill ran inside the top-10 for the first half, fading back to 11th, ahead of Rick Mitchell, Mark Allan, Mike Etsell, Megan Mitchell, Mike Hall, Caroline Kelly, Austin Etsell, Reece Bourgeois, and John Cote. Tegan Ellis unfortunately only completed a single lap with Jordan Willms disqualified post-race. Phil Givens and David Rockwood failed to take the green flag.
Owen Brooker failed to take the green flag in either of the two features.
The next event at Flamboro Speedway takes place this Saturday, May 10, featuring the season opener for the Qwick Wick T.Q. Can-Am Midgets and Ontario Pro Challenge Series. The Pro Late Models and Pure Stocks will also be in action.
