MILLGROVE, Ontario --- It was a special night for drivers and fans in attendance, as one of Ontario Modified Racing Association’s longstanding members was honored with the Bill Pickford Memorial at Flamboro Speedway.


Ontario Modified Racing Series


John Baker Jr. took advantage of a late-race restart to get the lead to win the first feature ahead of Tyler Bouillon and Bob Franks. Rick Warnes led till the white flag, when he and Alex Cuzzilla in turns one and two, sending Warnes around. Cuzilla and Warnes rounded out the top-five, in front of Andrew Massey and Randy Hollingsworth. Ty Severa failed to finish.


Tyler Bouillon led flag-to-flag to secure the victory in the second feature, followed by John Baker Jr., Andrew Massey, Ty Severa, and Bob Franks. Rick Warnes was sixth, while Randy Hollingsworth failed to finish. Alex Cuzilla did not start the second feature.


Qwick Wick T.Q. Can-Am Midget


Daniel Hawn took the lead on Lap 4, and did not look back en route to winning ahead of Cory Whittam, Jeff Blackburn, Mike Westwood, and Jody Bound. Sherri Hogan ran just outside the top-five en route to sixth in front of Robert Pollilo, Bob Bailey, and James Stanley. Tyler Seguin, Andrew Whelan, Paul Jorgensen, and Cassidy March did not finish.

Daniel Hawn and Cory Whittam won both heats. Mike Westwood won the Dash for Cash.


Ontario Pro Challenge


Emma Norris led flag-to-flag to win the first feature ahead of Tim Norris, Bryan Stevanus, Jae Linde, and Ethan Fleet. Travis Majuery challenged for a top-five en route to sixth in front of Mike Norris, Sterling Hattin, Mike O’Connell, and Ty Riopelle. Tenli Pepin rounded out the field.


Mike Norris battled back and forth for the lead for a little, but showed the way en route to winning the second feature ahead of Travis Majuery, Tim Norris, Emma Norris, and Bryan Stevanus. Ethan Fleet made his way forward for sixth ahead of Ty Riopelle, Jae Linde, Mike O’Connell, and Tenli Pepin. Sterling Hattin failed to finish.


Super Stocks


Bailey Jacobs led all 20 laps to win the first feature ahead of Brad Collison, Roy Wilkie, Nick Troback, and Dave Evison.


Roy Wilkie took the lead on Lap 9 for the second feature victory in front of Nick Troback, Brad Collison, Bailey Jacobs, and Dave Evison.


Mini Stocks


Mike Thomson led flag-to-flag en route to winning the first feature ahead of Ryan Edwards-Kiss, Mike Gilmour, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Dale Millard. Dave Goodacre and Nikki King rounded out the field.


Ryan Edwards-Kiss took the lead at the halfway mark en route to winning the second feature in front of Kaitlyn Wallace, Mike Thomson, Mike Gilmour, and Dave Goodacre. Nikki King was sixth, while Dale Millard failed to start the race.

Pure Stocks


Gary Slama took the lead on Lap 7, pacing the remaining 18 laps to win the first feature ahead of Spencer Riddell, Wayde Thorne, and Phil Givens. Chase Mitchell ran inside the top-10 throughout for sixth in front of Chance Rogers, Mark Allan, Mike Thomson, and Allan Mattice.


Brady Cox ran just outside the top-10 throughout for 11th, followed by Jordan Willms, Tegan Ellis, Jeff Kells, Nicole Givens, Rachel Mitchell, and Megan Mitchell. Leo Labarbera was disqualified.


Wayde Thorne secured the top spot at the halfway mark for the victory in the second feature ahead of Jordan Willms, Phil Givens, Leo Labarbera, and Chase Mitchell. Spencer Riddell was sixth in front of Brady Cox, Mike Thomson, Chance Rogers, and Dan Cormier.


Teagan Ellis battled to an 11th-place finish, followed by Rachel Mitchell and Megan Mitchell. Gary Slama, Jeff Kells, Mark Allan, and Nicole Givens failed to finish.


The next stock car racing event at Flamboro Speedway is taking place on Saturday, September 2 with the “Back to the School Races” featuring the Pro Late Models, Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks and Pure Stocks.

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- The sun was shining at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, and that was a great thing for all of those in attendance. The fans were treated to a great on-track autograph session for Meet the Drivers Night, alongside some great racing on-track.


Pro Late Models


Taking the lead on Lap 7, Kevin Albers led the rest of the way en route to picking up his first Late Model feature victory of 2023 in front of J.R. Fitzpatrick, Cole Quinton, Jaden Chapman, and Ty Cavallin. Logan White’s sophomore campaign continues with a sixth ahead of Chad Corcoran and Billy Schwartzenburg.


The invert for the second 30-lap affair saw Billy Schwartzenburg lead flag-to-flag en route to his second win of 2023. Kevin Albers crossed the finish line in second, but was disqualified following the event. J.R. Fitzpatrick, Cole Quinton, and Jaden Chapman completed the top-five followed by Logan White. Chad Corcoran and Ty Cavallin failed to finish.


Canadian Vintage Modifieds


TJ Marshall took the lead on Lap 7 to win the first Canadian Vintage Modified feature in front of Mike Podd, Ricky Willigar, Scott Toneli, and Jeremy Barton. Quinton Murdoch was sixth, followed by Jae Pepin, Ian McIntyre, Jessie James, and Joey Woolsey.


The second feature saw Ricky Willigar take the lead on Lap 9, pacing the remaining 14 laps en route to winning ahead of TJ Marshall, Quinton Murdoch, Scott Toneli, and Ian McIntyre. Jae Pepin was sixth after running inside the top-five the first eight laps, followed by Jessie James and Woolsey. Mike Podd and Jeremy Barton failed to finish.


Super Stocks


Nick Troback led all 15 laps to win the first Super Stock feature ahead of Roy Wilkie and Kelsey Lamont. Roy Wilkie returned the favor in the second affair, pacing all the laps in front of Troback and Lamont.


Mini Stocks


Mike Thomson took the lead on Lap 5 to win the first Mini Stock feature in front of Shawn Taylor, Mike Gilmour, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Dale Millard. Wayde Thorne faded back to sixth ahead of Michael Kenny, Mike Hooper, Mark Grieve, Nikki King, and Roy Markle.


Shawn Taylor kept his winning ways rolling with a victory in the second 25-lap affair, followed by Mike Gilmour, Dale Millard, Mike Thomson, and Kaitlyn Wallace. Wayde Thorne was sixth once again, in front of Michael Kenny, Mike Hooper, Mark Grieve, Tyler Weale, Nikki King, and Roy Markle.


Pure Stocks


Jordan Willms dominated the first Pure Stock feature, leading all the laps en route to victory. Wayde Thorne crossed the finish line in second, but was disqualified post-race. Jo Lawrence, Gary Slama, and Chase Mitchell rounded out the top-five, in front of Spencer Riddell, Gillian Hils, Leo Labarbera, Phil Givens, and Tyler Weale.


Delaware Speedway regular Nathan Rhea cracked the top-10 at the halfway mark, but ultimately finished 11th ahead of Jeff Kells, Len Sterritt, Scott Toneli, Nicole Givens, Teagan Ellis, Rachel Mitchell, and Brady Cox. Several drivers failed to finish including Owen Brooker, Chance Rogers, Paul Huskins, Cam Thomson, and Reece Bourgeois. Sarah Weale did not take the green flag.


A familiar face won the second feature, with Phil Givens leading all 25 laps to capture the checkered flag, followed by Gillian Hils, Jordan Wilms, Gary Slama and Jo Lawrence. Wayde Thorne was sixth this time around, in front of Spencer Riddell, Chase Mitchell, Brady Cox, and Leo Labarbera.


Nathan Rhea was 11th once again, ahead of Len Sterritt, Cam Thomson, Owen Brooker, Rachel Mitchell, Teagan Ellis, and Nicole Givens. Scott Tonelli and Jeff Kells did not finish, while Sarah Weale, Chance Rogers, Paul Huskins, Reece Bourgeois, and Tyler Weale did not take the green flag.

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- The rain may have delayed the show slightly at Flamboro Speedway, but it did not damper the racing that witnessed by the fans in attendance on Saturday night.


Ontario Pro Challenge


Tim Norris led all 25 laps en route to winning the first feature in front of his son Mike Norris, Travis Majuery, Byran Stevanus, and Emma Norris. Ty Riopelle was sixth ahead of Jay Linde, Tenli Pepin, and Sterling Hattin. Ethan Fleet failed to finish, while Mike O’Connell did not take the green flag.


Mike Norris took the lead in the second race to score the win, as the Norris family swept the podium with Tim and Emma following. Bryan Stevanus and Ty Riopelle completed the top-five ahead of Travis Majuery. Sterling Hattin and Tenli Pepin failed finish, while Ethan Fleet, Mike O’Connell, and Jay Linde did not take the green flag.


Pro Late Models


Billy Schwartzenburg returned to victory lane in the first feature, pacing all 30 laps in front of rookie Spira Racing teammate Cole Quinton. Tyler Di Venanzo scored a career-best third ahead of Kevin Albers and Jake Gilbert. J.R. Fitzpatrick was sixth, followed by Billy Zardo, Ty Cavallin, Bill Pearsall, and David Gallinger. Logan White failed to finish.


J.R. Fitzpatrick wasn’t about to spend the night with a checkered flag in hand, leading all the laps in the second race in front of Ty Cavallin, Jake Gilbert, Cole Quinton, and Logan White. Bill Pearsall was sixth ahead of Kevin Albers, David Gallinger, Billy Schwartzenburg, and Billy Zardo. Tyler Di Venanzo did not take the green flag.


Super Stocks


Roy Wilkie took the lead on Lap 6 to win the first Super Stock feature in front of Nick Troback, Kelsey Lamont, Cole Borrows. The finishing order repeated itself for the second 15-lap affair, with Wilkie securing the top spot on Lap 5 this time around.


Mini Stocks


Mike Thomson led all 20 laps en route to winning the first feature ahead of Shawn Taylor, Mike Gilmour, Dale Millard, and Tyler Lewis. Kaitlyn Wallace looked to find consistency with a sixth in front of Michael Kenny, Mike Hooper, Mark Grieve, and Nikki King.


Mike Thomson went for the daily double once again this season, taking the lead with four laps to go to win, followed by Shawn Taylor, Tyler Lewis, Dale Millard, and Mike Gilmour. Kaitlyn Wallace was sixth once again, ahead of Mike Hooper, Mark Grieve, and Nikki King. Michael Kenny failed to finish following an incident in the opening laps.


Pure Stocks


Cam Thomson put himself out front with seven laps to go to win the first feature, following a battle with Brady Cox. Phil Givens completed the podium in front of Jordan Willms and Spencer Riddell. Alex Stewart put together one of his best runs of 2023 in sixth ahead of Mark Allan, Chase Mitchell, Chris Pendlebury, and Leo Labarbera. Chance Rogers was 11th, followed by Jeff Kells, Nicole Givens, and Owen Booker. Teagan Ellis failed to finish.
