HAMILTON, Ontario --- Despite running into power issues, Flamboro Speedway was able to get in the entire night of racing, thanks to J.R. Fitzpatrick loaning his generator. It was a gesture that earned him the EPIC Racewear Move of the Night Award from the track.

Ontario Pro Challenge Series

Tim Norris crossed the finish line in first for the Ontario Pro Challenge feature, but he would be disqualified post-race for not remaining in tech. Bryan Stevanous finished second, followed by Peter Hattin, Mike Norris, and Steve Garry. Ken MacLennan finished sixth, followed by Blake Near and Devon Rayment, while Rick Seeley failed to finish.


Bryan Stevanous kept the momentum going into the second feature, picking up the victory. Tim Norris finished second, followed by Mike Norris, Peter Hattin, and Steve Garry. Blake Near finished sixth, followed by Devon Rayment, while Ken MacLennan and Rick Seeley failed to finish.


Grisdale Racing Enterprises Late Models

Rick Burbridge won the first feature for his first feature victory of the season, followed by Kevin Albers, J.R. Fitzpatrick, Chad Corcoran, and Mark Burbridge.


Shawn McGlynn finished sixth to rebound after failing to qualify for the first round of the Grisdale Triple Crown, followed by Chris Howse, Carson Nagy, Tyler Di Venanzo, and Hudson Nagy. David Gallinger finished 11th, followed by Mike Westwood, while Jake Gilbert and Mike Klotz failed to finish.


J.R. Fitzpatrick’s good karma rewarded him, as he won the second feature for his fifth victory of 2019. Chris Howse finished second for his first top-five of 2019, ahead of Carson Nagy, Kevin Albers, and Chad Corcoran.


Hudson Nagy finished sixth for his second straight top-10, followed by Rick Burbridge, Mark Burbridge, Shawn McGlynn, and David Gallinger. Mike Westwood finished 11th, followed by Mike Klotz, while Jake Gilbert and Tyler Di Venanzo failed to finish.


Ray’s Towing & Recovery Super Stocks

Brad Collison picked up his fourth feature victory of the year ahead of Brandon McFerran, Dennis Cybalski, Randy Rusnell, and Justin Collison. Nick Troback finished sixth, followed by Kelsey Lamont and Austin Penney, while AJ Miller failed to finish.

Nick Troback used the invert to his advantage for his third victory of 2019 ahead of Justin Collison, Brandon McFerran, Dennis Cybalski, and Brad Collison. Randy Rusnell finished sixth, followed by Kelsey Lamont and Austin Penney, while AJ Miller failed to finish.


Klotz Auto Repair and Engine Machine Shop Mini Stocks

Starting on pole, Karl Sault led flag-to-flag en route to his fourth feature victory of 2019 ahead of Jake Watson, Shawn Taylor, Kyle Steckly, and Tyler Lewis. Matt Young finished sixth, followed by Erik Dalla Riva, Dylan Sharpe, Kyle Istead, and Will Gibbons.

Jonathan Ayrton finished 11th, followed by Kyle DaSilva, Allie Ditner, Wendy Adams, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Mike Hooper, while Wayde Thorne failed to finish.


Will Gibbons would make his way through the field to visit victory lane for the second time in the past two weeks. Jake Watson finished second, followed by Erik Dalla Riva, Kyle Steckly, and Kyle Istead. Karl Sault finished sixth, followed by Shawn Taylor, Dylan Sharpe, Jonathan Ayrton, and Tyler Lewis.


Kyle DaSilva finished 11th, followed by Allie Ditner, Kaitlyn Wallace, Wendy Adams, and Mike Hooper. Matt Young failed to finish, while Wayde Thorne did not take the green flag.


McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks

After coming close the past couple of weeks, Mark Thorne broke through for his first feature victory of the 2019 season. Dale Lucas finished second, followed by Bobby Mercer, Leo Labarbera, and Wayde Thorne.


Courtney Scott finished sixth, followed by Chris Pendlebury, Andy Wheller, Jared Bodnar, and Kyle Lucas. Jeff Kells finished 11th, followed by Jamie Whittam and Brian Gamble, while Jimmy Hooper failed to finish.


The invert would see Leo Labarbera work his way through the field to score his fifth feature victory of 2019. Mark Thorne finished second, followed by Bobby Mercer, Jeff Kells, and Dlae Lucas.


Courtney Scott finished sixth, followed by Jared Bodnar, Wayde Thorne, Kyle Lucas, and Jamie Whittam. Brian Gamble finished 11th, followed by Chris Pendlebury, while Jimmy Hooper failed to finish. Andy Wheller would not take the green flag.

You are going to want to be in attendance this weekend for the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario second appearance at Flamboro Speedway in 2019 with the London Recreational Racing 100. Their first event on June 8 produced an exciting finish, with Matt Pritiko spinning J.R. Fitzpatrick on the last lap to win. The Canadian Vintage Modifieds and McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks will also be in action. The pit gate opens at 2 pm, followed by the front gate opening at 4 pm with racing starting at 6 pm.

HAMILTON, Ontario ---- With the sun shining bright over the oval, the drivers battled hard throughout the night en route to seeing a couple first time feature winners.


Ontario Modified Racing Series

Chad Strawn continued his early season dominance, stretching his points lead a little by winning the first feature ahead of Rob Warnes, Alex Cuzzilla, John Baker Jr., and Craig Scott. Willow Barberstock finished sixth, while Randy Hollingsworth and Rick Warnes failed to finish.


Chad Strawn made it a perfect night, as he was able to make his way through the field to win the second feature, as well. John Baker Jr. finished second, followed by Alex Cuzzilla, Rob Warnes, Willow Barberstock, Rick Warnes, and Craig Scott. Randy Hollingsworth failed to take the green flag.


Ray’s Auto Centre and Towing Super Stocks

Despite being hounded all race long, Nick Troback scored his second feature victory of the year ahead of Brad Collison, Brandon McFerran, Randy Rusnell, and Steve Cashmore. Austin Penney finished sixth, followed by AJ Miller, with Gerrit Tiemersma failing to take the green flag.


Brandon McFerran made the most of his first start of the season, winning the second feature ahead of Brad Collison, Steve Cashmore, Randy Rusnell, and Nick Troback. Austin Penney finished sixth, followed by AJ Miller, with Gerrit Tiemersma failing to finish.


Klotz Auto Repair and Engine Machine Shop Mini Stocks

After scoring eight top-fives entering the night, everything came together on Saturday for Will Gibbons as he scored his first feature win of the season. Erik Dalla Riva finished second, followed by Shawn Taylor and Karl Sault. Mike Hooper crossed the finish line in fifth, but was disqualified on a technical infraction post-race.


John Istead finished sixth, followed by Tyler Lewis, Kyle DaSilva, Jonathan Ayrton, and John Ditner. Wendy Adams and Dylan Sharpe rounded out the field. Matt Young, Mark Klotz, Wayde Thorne, and Kaitlyn Wallace failed to finish, while Nick Lasiuk and Jake Watson did not take the green flag.


The strong season continued for Erik Dalla Riva in the second feature, as he made his way through the field to score the victory. Karl Sault finished second, followed by Shawn Taylor, Will Gibbons, and Kyle DaSilva. Wendy Adams finished sixth, followed by Jonathan Ayrton, John Ditner, Tyler Lewis, and Bobby Mercer.


Dylan Sharpe finished 11th, followed by Mike Hooper. John Istead and Wayde Thorne failed to finish, while Mark Klotz, Kaitlyn Wallace, Jake Watson, and Nick Lasiuk did not take the green flag.


McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks

After a strong run earlier this season, Wayde Thorne got to taste the thrill of victory by scoring his first Pure Stock win of the 2019 campaign. Gillian Hils finished second for her seventh top-five finish, followed by Leo Labarbera, Andy Wheller, and Bobby Mercer.


Dale Lucas finished sixth, followed by Mark Thorne, Kyle Neumeister, Jonathan Ayrton, and Fabio Olivieri. Jeff Kells finished 11th, followed by Brian Gamble and Kyle Lucas, with Michael Neumeister failing to finish.


The invert would see Leo Labarbera make his way through the field en route to his fourth feature victory of the season. Mark Thorne finished second, followed by Andy Wheller, Kyle Neumeister, and Dale Lucas.


Bobby Mercer finished sixth, followed by Gillian Hils, Fabio Olivieri, Wayde Thorne, and Jonathan Ayrton. Kyle Lucas finished 11th, followed by Jeff Kells and Brian Gamble, with Michael Neumeister failing to take the green flag.


Pro 4 Modifieds

After fighting mechanical issues thus far, Mike Westwood was able to put the pieces together en route to winning the first feature ahead of Dan Pettit, Cliff Hodgkinson, Mark Lucas, with Shannon Morris and Dave Hodgkinson failing to finish.

The night turned out perfectly for Mike Westwood, as he won the second feature for the daily double. Cliff Hodgkinson finished second, followed by Mark Lucas, Dan Pettit, Dave Hodgkinson, and Shannon Morris.

This Saturday, July 6 is “Meet the Drivers Night,” which allows the fans to come and walk right on the race track, speaking with their favorite drivers as they collect hero cards and candy. There will be lots of drivers to meet including the Grisdale Racing Products Late Models, Ray’s Auto Centre and Towing Super Stocks, Klotz Auto Repair & Engine Machine Shop Mini Stocks, McClurkin Properties Cambridge Pure Stocks, and Ontario Pro Challenge Series. The pit gate opens at 4 pm, followed by the front gate opening at 5pm with racing starting at 6:30 pm.
