Trent Stephens Dominates ISMA Super Modified Event at Flamboro Speedway

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- Taking the lead on Lap 30, Trent Stephens did not look back en route to winning the ISMA Super Modified event at Flamboro Speedway.


Taking the green flag on the second row, Stephens quickly found his way into the runner-up spot. He then moved his way into the lead on Lap 30, pacing the rest of the event en route to picking up the checkered flag.


Tyler Shullick made his way forward to score a runner-up finish ahead of Anthony Nocella, Mike Ordway Jr., and Brandon Bellinger. Canadian Mark Sammut ran inside the top-10 throughout for sixth in front of Camden Proud, Dan Connors Jr., Adrian Stahle, and Rich Reid. Mike McVetta, Moe Lilje, Lou Levea Jr., Junior Farrelly, and Jeff Abold rounded out the field.


2025 T.Q. Can-Am Midget Champion Daniel Hawn has started off the season strongly, finding his way to the lead in the opening laps of the 25-lap feature en route to picking up the victory. Jeff Blackburn ran second throughout ahead of Darren McLennan, Jaden Riddell, and Dominique Smith. Tyler Cullen was sixth in front of James Stanley, Adam Racine, Mike Westwood, and Alex Connell. Sherri Hogan and Jody Bound rounded out the field. Riddell and Hawn split the heats between them.


Jason Keen kept the good times rolling, picking up his third consecutive Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified feature victory after taking the lead on Lap 7. TJ Marshall made his way forward for a second-place finish ahead of Mike Podd, Jordan Ramsbottom, and Ty Riopelle. Jeremy Riopelle made his way forward for sixth in front of Chris Pendlebury, Scott Tonelli, Dave Evison Sr., and Steve Murdoch. Alexandria Ditner, Steve Lyons, Dustin Hood and Cam Thomson rounded out the field.


Ty Riopelle wasted no time in the second feature, taking the lead on the second lap en route to a dominating victory to start off his year strong. Jason Keen’s consistency continued with a runner-up ahead of Steve Murdoch, Jeremy Riopelle, and TJ Marshall. Mike Podd was sixth in front of Chris Pendlebury, Alexandria Ditner, and Cam Thomson. A first lap incident resulted in several drivers not finishing the event including Jordan Ramsbottom, Dave Evison Sr., and Dustin Hood.


The Southern Ontario Modified Association opened up their season on Saturday at Flamboro, with Mark Lucas picking up the first checkered flag of the year ahead of Robert Mercer, Riley Mercer, Vic Devries, Brodie Gibson, Michael Baker, Ken Mercer, Glen Morrison, and Brad Maitland.


Robert Mercer dominated to win the second feature in front of Mark Lucas, Riley Mercer, Vic Devries, Michael Baker, Ken Mercer, Glen Morrison, and Brad Maitland.


The next event at Flamboro Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, featuring the Don Biederman Memorial for the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It, the Brian McLean Memorial for the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds, the Bill Zardo Memorial for The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive, and the Ontario Pro Challenge Series.
