MILLGROVE, Ontario --- In a night filled with action at Flamboro Speedway, some familiar faces found their way to victory lane, alongside a first time feature winner.


Grisdale Enterprises Pro Late Models


Chris Howse proved he can get the job done in the No. 55, backing up the team’s Late Model championship last season with a feature win of his own ahead of Kevin Albers, Logan White, Billy Schwartzenburg, Roland Goodfellow, and Scott Gibson.


Billy Schwartzenburg kept the good rimes rolling with another feature win of his own in front of Kevin Albers, Logan White, Chris Howse, Roland Goodfellow, and Scott Gibson.


Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds


Ricky Willigar won the first Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified feature ahead of Wayde Thorne, Scott Tonelli, Jae Pepin, and Jason Keen. Steve Murdoch put together a strong run with a sixth in front of John Karley, Daryl Henwood, TJ Woolsey, and Maddax Pepin.


Mike Podd was 11th, followed by Rodney Rutherford. Several drivers failed to finish including TJ Marshall, Quinton Murdoch, Samantha Trewolla, Jake Gilbert, and Tom McIntyre.


Rodney Rutherford returned to victory lane in the second feature ahead of Mike Podd, Ricky Willigar, Jason Keen, and Jae Pepin. TJ Woolsey was sixth in his return to the series in front of Daryl Henwood, Scott Tonelli, Tom McIntyre, and Steve Murdoch.


Quinton Murdoch was 11th this time around, followed by Maddax Pepin, and Samantha Trewolla. Wayde Thorne, John Karley and TJ Marshall failed to finish, while Jake Gilbert did not take the green flag.


Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks


Mike Gilmour took the lead on Lap 4 en route to picking up the victory in the first Mini Stock feature ahead of Matt Young, Kaitlyn Wallace, Tyler Lewis, and Mike Thonson. Nikki King ran just outside of the top-five the majority of the event en route to sixth in front of Rory Markle and Trevor Hemingway. Bobby Mercer failed to finish after problems on Lap 4.


Defending track champion Mike Thomson won the second feature ahead of Matt Young, Kaitlyn Wallace, Tyler Lewis, and Rory Markle. Nikki King was sixth once again, this time in front of Trevor Hemingway. Mike Gilmour and Bobby Mercer failed to finish.


Hogan Law & McClurklin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks


Chance Rogers scored his first career Pure Stock feature victory ahead of Spencer Riddell, Chase Mitchell, Rick Mitchell, and Gary Slama. Craig Cole made his way forward for sixth in front of Leo Labarbera, Allan Mattice, Cam Thomosn, and Wayde Thorne.

Chris Burrows dropped out of the top-10 on Lap 4 en route to 11th, followed by Hailey Hill, Dan Storey, Rachel Mitchell, Mike Hall, Jordan Wilms, Gillian Hils, Owen Brooker, Dylan Peckham, and Josh Glos.


Megan Mitchell and Lisa Barton rounded out the field, while Mark Allan and Mac Ingram did not finish.


Jordan Wilms rebounded to win the second feature ahead of Wayde Thorne, Rick Mitchell, Dan Storey, and Leo Labarbera. Gary Slama made his way forward for sixth in front of Chase Mitchell, Spencer Riddell, Cam Thomson, and Chance Rogers.


Allan Mattice ran inside the top-10 until five laps to go, placing 11th, followed by Chris Burrows, Mike Hall, Mac Ingram, Josh Glos, Dylan Peckham, Megan Mitchell, and Lisa Barton.


Hailey Hill, Craig Cole, and Rachel Mitchell failed to finish. Gillian Hils, Mark Allan, and Owen Brooker did not take the green flag.


The next stock car racing event at Flamboro Speedway is taking place on Saturday, August 3, featuring Kid’s Ride Night, which gives the opportunity for kids to take a ride in a racecar around the track before the racing event kicks off. The on-track action will feature the Ontario Modified Racing Series (OMRS), Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks.


Also, don’t forget the Gold Rush 124 will be taking place on Tuesday, August 13 with $12,000 up for grabs to win for the Super Late Models. The night will also featurea $1000 to win Pure Stock inivtational.

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- There were close battles throughout the night at Flamboro Speedway, but ultimately eight different drivers got to hold up a checkered flag in victory lane.

Chris Howse led flag-to-flag in the first Late Model feature in front of Billy Schwartzenburg, Kevin Albers, Logan White, and Roland Goodfellow.

The second race was closer, with Billy Schwartzenburg taking the lead with six laps to go to score the win ahead of Kevin Albers, Logan White, Chris Howse, and Roland Goodfellow.

Bobby Mercer took the lead on Lap 6, pacing the rest of the way to park the wagon in victory lane ahead of his teammate Matt Young, Ryan Edwards-Kiss, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Michael Kenny. RJ Croteau was sixth in front of Tyler Lewis, Matt Smith, Kris Lawrence, and Nikki King.

Trevor Hemingway’s return to the driver’s seat saw him place 11th, followed by Mike Thomson. Mike Gilmour and Rory Markle failed to finish.

Matt Young returned the favor in the second feature, picking up the win ahead of Bobby Mercer, Mike Gilmour, Mike Thomson, and Kaitlyn Wallace. Tyler Lewis ran inside the top-five until five laps to go, fading abck to sixth in front of RJ Croteau, Matt Smith, Kris Lawrence, and Nikki King.

Michael Kenny was 11th, followed by Trevor Hemingway, and Rory Markle. Ryan Edwards-Kiss failed to finish.

Spencer Riddell’s family is involved in different aspects of the speedway, and he got to take them all to victory lane by winning the first Pure Stock feature ahead of Craig Cole, Rodney Rutherford, Chase Mitchell, and Rick Mitchell. Cam Thomson battled his way forward to finish sixth in front of Chris Burrows, Rachel Mitchell, Allan Mattice, and Mike Hall.

Gillian Hils ran just outside the top-10 en route to 11th, followed by Chance Rogers, Mac Ingram, Dylan Peckham, Mark Allan, Hailey Hill, Megan Mitchell, Josh Glos, Tegan Ellis, and Jake Hambly. Jordan Wilms failed to finish.

Cam Thomson kept his strong season going by picking up the win in second feature ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Chase Mitchell, Craig Cole. Chris Burrows ran inside the top-five for the first 13 laps, fading back to sixth in front of Mark Allan, Rick Mitchell, Chance Rogers, and Allan Mattice.

Rachel Mitchell was inside the top-10 for the first half, fading back to 11th, followed by Gillian Hils, Jordan Wilms, Hailey Hill, Mike Hall, Dylan Peckham, Mac Ingram, Megan Mitchell, Teagan Ellis, and Jake Hambly. Josh Glos did not take the green flag.

Mark Lucas took the lead on Lap 4 to win the first Southern Ontario Modified Association (SOMA) feature ahead of Cliff Hodgkinson, Bob Mercer, Shannon Morris, and Sean Carey. Josh Fera faded back, and then regained ground en route to sixth in front of Brad Maitland, Brodie Gibson, Kelly Martin, and Mike Baker. Vic Devries, John Herd, Ken Mercer and Sean Asselin failed to finish.

Bob Mercer led flag-to-flag to win the second feature ahead of Cliff Hodgkinson, Sean Asselin, Sean Carey, and Josh Fera. Shannon Morris faded back to sixth in front of Brodie Gibson, Mark Lucas, Kelly Martin, and Mike Baker. John Herd was 11th, followed by Ken Mercer and Brad Maitland. Vic Devries did not take the green flag.

The next stock car racing event at Flamboro Speedway is taking place on Saturday, July 27, featuring the Pro Late Model, Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks. There will also be Spectator Drags during intermission.

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- The temperature may have been hot, but so was the racing on-track as the drivers vowed against each other for glory on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.


Grisdale Enterprises Pro Late Models


Logan White took the lead at the halfway mark and paced the field the rest of the way en route to winning the first feature ahead of Dan McHattie, Kevin Albers, Chris Howse, and Billy Schwatzenburg. Ty Cavalin battled his way forward for sixth in front of Roland Goodfellow, Kyle Steckly, and Rick Burbridge.


Kyle Steckly made the trip to get extra laps at Flamboro Speedway ahead of this weekend’s APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series event, and it paid off. He won the second feature by pacing all 30 laps ahead of Kevin Albers, Billy Schwartzenburg, Dan McHattie, and Ty Cavalin. Roland Goodfellow’s rookie campaign continued with a sixth in front of Chris Howse, Rick Burbridge, and Logan White.


Super Stocks


Only a pair of super stocks showed up, with Justin Collison out-running John Karley for the victory.


Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks


Mike Gilmour took the lead on Lap 9, leading the rest of the way to win the first Mini Stock feature ahead of Matt Young, Karl Sault, Mike Thomson, and Wyatt Sutcliffe.


Kaitlyn Wallace battled inside the top-five early, fading back to sixth at the checkered in front of Jacob Sutcliffe, Bobby Mercer, Kris Lawrence, and Nikki King. Mark Klotz did not take the checkered flag.


Mike Gilmour made it a perfect night by winning the second feature ahead of Matt Young, Karl Sault, Mike Thomson, and Kaitlyn Wallace. Sunset Speedway regular Wyatt Sutcliffe was sixth in front of Bobby Mercer, Nikki King, Jacob Sutcliffe, and Kris Lawrence.


Hogan Law & McClurklin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks


Jordan Wilms led flag-to-flag to win the first Pure Stock feature ahead of Gary Slama, Spencer Riddell, Rodney Rutherford, and Chance Rogers. Leo Labarbera battled inside the top-five early, fading to sixth at the checkered in front of Chase Mitchell, Craig Cole, Rick Mitchell, and Mark Allan.


Chris Burrows battled just outside the top-10 en route to 11th, followed by Gillian Hils, Cam Thomson, Mike Hall, Rachel Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, Owen Brooker, Mac Ingram, and Phil Givens. Notably, Ingram and Givens did not complete a lap.


Gary Slama battled his way forward, taking the lead with six laps to go to win the second Pure Stock feature ahead of Jordan Wilms, Rodney Rutherford, Leo Labarbera, and Chase Mitchell. Chance Rogers worked his way forward for sixth in front of Mark Allan, Spencer Riddell, Chris Burrows, and Craig Cole.


Rick Mitchell fell back in the running order in the final five laps to place 11th, followed by Dylan Peckham, Rachel Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, Gillian Hils, Mike Hall, Owen Brooker, and Mac Ingram. Cam Thomson suffered a disqualification after spinning Craig Cole, following an incident on-track that saw Cole spin Thomson.


The Pure Stocks also held a six-lap Dash for Cash to cap off the night, with Rachel Mitchell scoring the victory over her sister Megan Mitchell. Mark Allan was third ahead of Rick Mitchell, Dylan Peckham, and Owen Brooker.


The next stock car racing event at Flamboro Speedway is taking place on Saturday, July 13, featuring the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series London Recreational Racing 100. The night also will have the Dayco Super Stocks and Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds in action.
