MILLGROVE, Ontario ---- Taking the lead in the opening laps, J.R. Fitzpatrick dominated the Don Biederman Memorial for the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models on Saturday at Flamboro Speedway.


Laying down a lap of 14.439 seconds in time trials, Fitzpatrick would earn himself the Fox's Bakery and Deli pole position. The invert saw him start a couple spots off of the top spot, but he wasted no time making his way forward. He took the lead on Lap 8, leading the rest of the way en route to winning the event. It marked a great rebound after suffering a mechanical failure in the series season opener at Sunset Speedway.


Brandon Passer, who won the event at Sunset, was second this time around with Dustyn Mombourquette scoring his first career super late model podium finish. Todd Campbell and Dario Capirchio completed the top-five ahead of Roy Passer, Adrian Foster, Mike Miller, Chris Burrows, and Brad Pearsall. 


A couple weeks after winning the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds at Flamboro Speedway, Jason Keen returned to pick up the checkered flag in the first Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modified feature of the night. Ty Riopelle was second ahead of Mike Podd, TJ Marshall, and Daryl Henwood. Scott Tonelli battled his way forward for sixth in front of Ian McIntyre, Jae Pepin, Ricky Willigar, and Rodney Rutherford. Dave Evison Sr., Samantha Trewolla, Maddux Pepin, and Steve Murdoch rounded out the field.


Jason Keen went for the daily double by winning the second Vintage Modified feature in front of Ricky Willigar, Rodney Rutherford, Scott Tonelli, and Daryl Henwood. Ty Riopelle battled his way forward for sixth ahead of Jae Pepin, Dave Evison Sr., Ian McIntyre, and Samantha Trewolla. TJ Marshall, Mike Podd, Maddux Pepin, and Steve Murdoch rounded out the field. 


Matt Young took the lead with 10 laps to go, pacing the rest of the way en route to winning the first Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stock feature ahead of Tyler Lewis, Dan Pettit, Mark Grieve, Rory Markle, and Chris Pendlebury.


Matt Young went for the daily double by winning the second Mini Stock feature in front of Tyler Lewis, Dan Pettit, Chris Pendlebury, Rory Markle, and Mark Grieve. 


Cam Thomson won the Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature to open the night. Stay tuned to the track website and social media for the full results after an issue with Race Monitor.


Courtney Scott led flag-to-flag to win the second Pure Stock feature ahead of Gary Slama, Jordan Willms, Chase Mitchell, and Rachel Mitchell. John Cote battled his way forward to sixth in front of Spencer Riddell, Rick Mitchell, Cam Thomson, and Brandon Milligan. Leo Labarbera ran inside the top-10 for the first half, fading back to 11th, followed by Chance Roger,s Jake Watson, Hailey Hill, Mark Allan, Teagan Ellis, Caroline Kelly, and Megan Mitchell. 


Flamboro Speedway is back in action on Saturday, June 21, with the second round for the Steel City Super Stock Series. The night also features a 50 lap $2000 to win Pro Late Model event, Southern Ontario Modified Association, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks.

MILLGROVE, Ontario --- Looking to turn this season around after bad luck at Sunset Speedway, Kyle Steckly put together the perfect performance en route to winning the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series Grisdale Racing Products 150 at Flamboro Speedway.


Qualifying second for the 150 lap event, Kyle Steckly was patient en route to finding his way to the front, taking the lead on Lap 45. From there on, he put together a dominating performance to pick up the victory.


Shae Gemmell was second, while top qualifier Jake Sheridan was third in front of Josh Stade and Shawn Chenoweth. Dale Shaw ran just outside the top-five throughout, making his way gradually forward for sixth ahead of Jo Lawrence, Ray Morneau, Treyten Lapcevich, and Tyler Di Venanzo. 


Series rookie Cory McAllister battled his way forward after qualifying 16th for an 11th-place finish, followed by Junior Farrelly, Cole Quinton, Glenn Styres, and Kendra Adams. Cory Luciano, Kevin Gallant, Connor Pritiko, Jacob Mercer, and Mike Bentley failed to finish. 



Daniel Hawn took the lead on Lap 16, pacing the remaining half of the Miller Mobile Offices Can-Am Midget feature en route to victory ahead of Jeff Blackburn, Darren McLennan, Jayden Riddell, and Adam Racine. Tyler Cullen battled just outside the top-five en route to sixth in front of James Stanley, Roberto Pollillo, Sherri Hogan, and Alex Connell.


Larry Lawson was 11th, while Ryan Fraser, Andrew Whelan, Richard Woodland, Cam Thomson, Jody Bound, and Mike Westwood failed to finish. Jeff Blackburn and Daniel Hawn won each of the 10-lap heats. 


John Cote led flag-to-flag en route to winning the first Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature ahead of Mac Ingram, Cam Thomson, Dan Storey, and Spencer Riddell. Chase Mitchell's solid season continued with a sixth in front of Matt Young, Chance Rogers, Leo Labarbera, and Mark Allan.


Rick Mitchell ran just outside the top-10 en route to 11th, followed by Rachel Mitchell, Gary Triska, Kris Lawrence, Rayse Meyer, Len Sterritt, Teagan Ellis, Hailey Hill, Caroline Kelly, and Megan Mitchell. Owen Brooker failed to finish.


Gary Triska paced all 25 laps to win the second Pure Stock feature ahead of Dan Storey, Spencer Riddell, Chase Mitchell, and Matt Young, Mac Ingram battled his way forward for sixth in front of Chance Rogers, John Cote, Cam Thomson, and Kris Lawrence.

Rick Mitchell ran inside the top-10 for the first half of the event, fading back to 11th in the late stages, followed by Rayse Meyer, Rachel Mitchell, Leo Labarbera, Len Sterritt, Teagan Ellis, Caroline Kelly, and Megan Mitchell. Mark Allan, Hailey Hill, and Owen Brooker did not finish the feature. 


Flamboro Speedway is back in action on Saturday, June 14 with the Don Biederman Memorial for the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models. The Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks will also be in action.
